Title: Soil Organic Matter and Soil Health Oral

Session Description: For several decades since the realization that intensively managed soils have been losing carbon to the atmosphere, soils have been advocated as sinks for atmospheric carbon. The sustainability of ecosystem services systems will depend on the availability of sound technologies and practices for the management of the active part of soil organic matter. We invite forward looking contributions that address organic matter cycling in the context of soil health management strategies including studies that investigate biogeochemical connections between the use of OM amendments, climate, soil health, and socioeconomic conditions that promote best use of organic resources that improve soil health.
