Session Description: The influence of soil moisture on agricultural production and processes is well known, but the applications and impacts of soil moisture information on other important Earth processes are less familiar, especially among soil scientists. This symposium seeks to bring together experts in a variety of non-soil science disciplines to share their transformative work regarding the impact of soil moisture on major ecological, meteorological, and hydrological processes.
