Session Description: Chasing higher crop yields is often accomplished through high-input management practices but may cause negative environmental impacts in the process. This session will attempt to address the question of whether achieving higher yields is environmentally and economically possible and discuss the pros and cons of using input-use efficiency measures on a yield-per-input and yield-per-environmental footprint basis for increasing yields and reducing environmental impact.
