Session Description: The main goal of the R boot camp is to provide a comprehensive hands-on training R programming to carry out statistical analysis in a wide variety of research projects. The workshop will combine lectures and coding sessions. The exercises will focus on real-world case studies observed in Agronomy research experiments and Natural Resources studies. Dataset and code will be provided. Workshop attendants should bring their laptops with a recent version of R and Rstudio installed. Session 1 requires no previous knowledge of R. Core objectives of Session 1 are Introduction to R and RStudio, R scripts, installing packages, how to get help, basic operations principles, basic data handling such as data import and export, data merge and subsetting, descriptive statistics, basic plots and introduction to linear regression.
