Session Description: Agricultural farming systems of the US Southern Great Plains (SGP) and similar transitional lands between humid and arid zones in other parts of the world are important to global food and nutritional security. However, persistent yield stagnation, large yield gaps, and low water- and nutrient-use efficiencies plague rainfed-cropping system in the SGP.
