Session Description: COVID-19 is changing the landscape of higher education. While institutions across the country are working to meet the immediate needs of students, the long-term impacts on enrollments and budgets are unclear. This symposium is focused on sharing our collective experiences with adapting to COVID-19, including strategies to deal with the abrupt need to move courses online, changing from letter to pass/fail grades, student recruitment, and rapid implementation of budget cuts. The overall goal is to share information that will allow institutions to build resilient programs that continue to meet learning outcomes necessary to prepare future generations of scientists.
