Abstract:
Western Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) is a USDA funded competitive grant program that supports research, innovation, and education in sustainable agriculture in the western region of United States through the pursuit of agricultural systems that are economically viable, environmentally sound, and good for communities and families. Western SARE funds five grant programs that engage producers, researchers, agricultural professionals, and students in collaborative and interdisciplinary research and education projects. In this presentation, you will learn about Western SARE mission, and each grant program characteristics and requirements. Also, we will present exemplary funded projects addressing agricultural production in a changing climate. The presentation will be followed by audience's questions.
