Abstract:
The poor fermentation quality is an important issue for sudangrass silage production caused limits the utilisation of sudangrass on livestock. The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of molasses and Lactobacillus plantarum on the fermentation quality, chemical composition and in vitro gas production of sudangrass silage prepared with or without wilting. At cutting or wilting sudangrass was ensiled without additive (control), or with molasses (M), Lactobacillus plantarum (LP), molasses + Lactobacillus plantarum (M+LP).
