217 Symposium--Challenges in Measuring Greenhouse Gas Emissions From Soil

Oral Session
ASA Section: Environmental Quality This symposium will highlight methodological advances and provide guidance for dealing with commonly faced problems. Topics to be covered would include topics such as advantages/disadvantages of newer technologies (i.e. micro-metrological techniques for nitrous oxide measurement, application of photoacoustic and FTIR gas monitors, and automated chamber systems), determining appropriate instrumentation and chamber designs, and dealing with spatial and temporal variability in emissions.
