Abstract:
Realization of the impact that Soybean Rust might have on crop production in the United States brought new interest from growers in the use of fungicides for row crop protection. Seed industry agronomists and plant breeders indicate that yield increase requirements may limit disease tolerance selections, increasing the potential need for fungicides. Three 15-minute presentations will be given to stir thought and discussion. After the brief presentations we will all participate in a 45-minute discussion session.
