423 Soil Quality and Conservation and Human Health
Oral Session
SSSA Division: Soil & Water Management & ConservationOver the last 50 years or more we have made substantial progress in understanding the impact of soil quality and conservation on productivity. To a lesser extent we have also examined the impact of soil quality and conservation on human health. In an effort to further understand how soil quality affects society in a changing climate, this session is open to research on soil quality effects on human health in the areas of nutrition, obesity and hidden hunger, and incidence of disease or illness either directly from the soil or through secondary transference via the plant, air or water.
