451 Drop By Drop: The Dynamics of Water, Solutes, Energy and Gases in the Drip-Irrigated Root Zone: II
Poster Session
SSSA Division: Soil PhysicsBetter understanding of root zone processes under advanced micro-irrigation practices and strategies is expected to promote more efficient water and fertilizer use. The symposium will provide a platform to discuss recent advancements in characterizing and understanding water, solute, energy and gas transport and exchange processes in drip-irrigated root zones. Potential topics include but are not limited to: (1) the past, present and future of drip irrigation; (2) water flow and solute transport; (3) root growth and uptake processes; (4) gas transport; and (5) monitoring, optimization and manipulation of the drip-irrigated root zone.
