143 Soil Erosion and Runoff - Impacts on Productivity and Environmental Quality

Poster Session
SSSA Division: Soil & Water Management & Conservation
Soil erosion by water and wind continues at unacceptably high rates from crop, pasture, and forest lands. Sediment, nutrients, and agrichemicals in runoff from storm events remain major water quality concerns. This session will address soil management effects on erosion and runoff including the quantification of impacts and the effectiveness of practices to reduce the environmental consequences of erosion.
