Abstract:
Farmers Business Network collects detailed agronomic data from millions of acres of farms across the United States. We leverage the power of large aggregated datasets about farming practices, seed genetics, soil, and weather conditions to extract unprecedented insights about the factors that affect crop production. We use these insights to better understand agronomic systems and identify crop management decisions that maximize yield and profitability. We present some of our key findings about how large-scale, aggregated agronomic datasets can be used to discover insights about the optimal crop management practices for a specific field.
