Abstract:
Abstract:The area of saline-alkali land in China is very large of 34870000 ha, which also has various types and distributes widely across China. The problem of saline-alkali land management is related to water, soil and ecological issues. The saline-alkali land management is very important for China's food security, regional ecological safety and sustainable utilization of water and soil resources, but it is also an ecologically fragile land type. On the basis of the status analysis of saline-alkali land in China, this study analyzes the major technical measures of saline-alkali land management, the existing problems and puts forward the needed technical direction and key technology of saline-alkali land management. Furthermore, this study focuses on the role and effect of the new technologies such as drip irrigation for saline-alkali land improvement, and the serious problems and huge ecological risk of drip irrigation are also discussed. The subsurface drainage pipes technology combined with drip irrigation technology will be the major direction and measures of saline-alkali land management in China, but there are following key technologies needed to be further breakthrough,such as the law of soil water and salt movement rule and space-time configuration model in the targeted improvement soil layer, development of synthetic filter material (instead of natural sand filter material), and water and salt quantitative and intelligent remote monitoring and control based on wireless sensors and internet of things.
