Abstract:
Soil health is on the tip of every agriculture producers tongue but what does it mean? How can soil health be documented to the agriculture community? Thanks to a Conservation Innovation Grant awarded the University of Missouri, South Farms Research Center we were able to collect regional Soil health data from across the state of Missouri. While attending our agricultural field days attendees were provided an opportunity to submit soils from fields of interest for “on the spot “active carbon testing. This data was collected and incorporated into a recently created UMC Soil Health Website. This site was created to provide regional soil health information and data to producers, enabling them to make realistic objectives when setting soil health goals.
