ABSTRACT WITHDRAWN

Abstract:
Whole genome association study (WGAS) have been widely used to analyze the genetic control of complex traits in wheat. In this study, yield related phenotypic traits, branched spike and long rachis were analyzed in combination to study their association with 5,208 SNPs in the F2 population derived from bread wheat L20 × Yangmai18 cross. By comparing the association signals with a fixed P value, WGAS showed that one genetic loci on chromosome 2A were associated with branched spike trait, as well as two genetic loci on chromosome 5A and 7B closely related with long rachis. Based on the consensus QTL combined with candidate loci derived from WGAS, the comprehensive information here provides an important reference tool for further study of candidate genes improving wheat grain yield.
