Abstract:
It is well known that the water soluble zinc (WS Zn) content affects the effectiveness of Zn fertilizers. However, Zn solubility is reduced in phosphate fertilizers due to the formation of insoluble precipitates, decreasing Zn availability to crops. To overcome this issue, we manufactured a range of Zn formulations using barrier coatings to improve water soluble Zn in ammoniated phosphates, and assessed their effectiveness in terms of plant response.
