354 Beyond RCBD:Experimental Design for Spatial Variability
Oral Session
ASA Section: Biometry and Statistical ComputingThe RCBD is the standard design for agricultural experiments and is used to control variation in an experiment by accounting for spatial effects in field or greenhouse by grouping similar experimental units into blocks. However, these experimental plots cannot be separated completely as they are spatially correlated. In this situation, parametric and nonparametric statistical methods are unsuitable and are often derived from regionalized variable analysis. This session welcome contributions on current research and developments on spatial statistical designs and analysis and their uses for developing management decisions.
