R for the Recovering SAS User

Workshops

This hands-on workshop will introduce researchers to the programming language/statistical analysis software R (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R_%28programming_language%29). While SASŪ has many advantages for researchers at educational institutions in the USA (affordability being one of them) R is freely available without cost for all operating systems throughout the world. Participants will learn the basics of operating in the R environment and proceed from there to some standard analyses, finishing with a mixed models analysis of real data. For non-trivial examples the corresponding SAS code will be provided.
