Symposium--Sustaining Global Food Security In A Changing Climate
Oral SessionASA Section: Global Agronomy
Contemporary climate variability and prospect of significant longer-term changes poses substantial threats to food security at global, regional, and local scales. The nature of these threats and time-horizon and need for investments in adaptation will vary considerably by region and also with the diverse characteristics of different farming systems. This symposium will develop the big picture of the challenges ahead and, crucially, what steps should be prioritized to build more climate-resilient agricultural systems.
