Symposium--Field-Based High Throughput Phenotyping
Oral SessionC02 Crop Physiology and Metabolism
Many genetic studies and crop improvement efforts require dealing with very large populations of plants grown under field conditions. The scale of these studies dictates that novel approaches be developed to characterize quantitative traits. This symposium examines emerging options for field-based high throughput phenotyping. Emphasis is on proximal sensing approaches beyond those using simple reflectance indices such as NDVI.
