387Soil Organic Compounds: Fate and Transport in Soil Environments: II

Poster Session

S02 Soil Chemistry

The general goal of this topical session is to integrate information from leading experts in soil biochemistry, soil physical chemistry, microbiology, enzymology, and many other environmental disciplines, with the intent of presenting an integrative view of i) micro- and macro-scale biogeochemical processes of soil organic nitrogen compounds and how those processes affect various ecosystem functions and ii) soil and groundwater characteristics that should be considered and/or monitored when selecting and executing remediation strategies, such as phytoremediation and monitored natural attenuation, particularly as they relate to chlorinated solvents.
