Minerals In the Environment: I

Oral Session

S09 Soil Mineralogy

Mineralogical composition of soil governs much of the variation in chemical, physical and biological processes. Understanding the relationship between mineral occurrence, transformation and stability, and pedogenic environments is germane to the comprehension of ecosystem processes. This session encompasses topics that expand the knowledge base on mineral behavior in soil environments and mineral analytical methods.
