Demonstrating That Variable Rate Water Makes a Difference: I.

The presentation will start with a brief history of the development of VRI and its application followed by current applications and uses of VRI. The presentation will then focus on discussion of the current types of variable rate irrigation (VRI) available and the hardware available from OEM and third party suppliers.   Some data will then be presented on the performance of VRI packages.  The presentation will close with a discussion current needs and potential future direction of variable rate irrigation.
