Soil systems provide a baseline for understanding interactions of soil function at multiple scales. Remote sensing information and technology continues to advance and improve scientists' ability to understand and predict the relationships in coupled soil systems. This presentation will provide an overview of the current tools and provide examples of applications of remote sensing technologies for characterizing and mapping soil systems.
