Six nitrogen levels (0, 30, 60, 90, 120 and 150 kg/ha) were applied to two switchgrass (Panicum virgatum L.) cultivars, two big bluestem (Andropogon gerardii Vit.) cultivars, and one indiangrass (Sorghastrum nutans Nash.) cultivar. The crops were seeded in Kemptville in 2009 for biomass production. The shoots were harvested in the fall and biomass production was determined.
