Single sequence repeats (SSR) markers were used to map soybean aphid resistance in soybean germplasm accession PI 603712. Two SSR markers Satt540 and Sct_065 were found to be associated with soybean aphid resistance in chromosomes 8 and 16, respectively, representing presence of soybean aphid resistance locus Rag1 (Satt540) and Rag3 (Sct_065) in PI 603712. Further genetic analysis with higher marker density in these chromosomal regions as well as in other chromosomes is in progress.
