We will be sampling fields in eastern North Dakota that are in different stages of the transition from both conventional tillage to no-tillage practices and from CRP to no-tillage. The samples from these sites will then be analyzed for their aggregation and organic matter components, along with other physical and chemical properties.

This study will provide a chronosequence of the effects of management practices over time. Continued monitoring will strengthen the data.
