Camelina sativa is traditionally grown in cool climates as a summer oilseed crop. In Arkansas, camelina can be grown successfully in the winter, thus providing needed crop cover as well as farm income. Sixteen varieties of Camelina sativa were grown, both as a winter crop and as an early spring crop to determine best-adapted varieties for the region.
