There are many technologies available to growers to improve water production (Mg of yield / mm irrigation applied) in irrigated agriculture. These technologies include traits, chemistry, irrigation management, decision support systems, sensors, and cultural practices. Each of these makes a unique contribution to water optimization; therefore, the water challenge is greater than one company can solve. Syngenta has partnered with Lindsay, university researchers and local service providers in agricultural communities to deliver an integrated solution greater than the sum of our independent parts. This is the first scalable, fully integrated solution to be delivered to be commercialized which focuses on water productivity. Water+ integrates seed technology, crop protection, crop enhancement, and irrigation management as a complete solution to the grower with local expertise and flexibility to fit the grower's need.
