A reception to celebrate Dr. James Beard’s 2014 Presidential Award from CSSA.  The Presidential Award is CSSA’s most exclusive award and “given to persons who have influenced the science or practice of crop production so greatly that the impact of their efforts will be enduring on future science”.  Dr. Beard is the first dedicated turfgrass scientist to receive the Presidential Award.  C-5 thanks the United States Golf Association for underwriting this event and also extends gratitude to The Lawn Institute and the Michigan Turfgrass Foundation for additional support.
