203 Symposium--Beyond the Penman-Monteith: Instruments and Approaches for Precision Water Stress
Oral Session
ASA Section: Climatology & ModelingThe historic Penman-Monteith equation is widely used to predict potential evapotranspiration and irrigation requirements. Since its inception a half-century ago, numerous instruments and approaches have been developed to more precisely determine evapotranspiration and crop water status. He we desc ribe the state-of-the-art in approaches to precisely stress economic plants and increase the value of the harvested products.
