There are many concepts that describe how humanity values and cares for soil. From the past - Soil conservation, Land evaluation & capability and Soil care. From the present - Soil function, Soil quality, Soil health, Soil condition, Soil change, Soil resilience, Soil ecosystem services, Soil protection. Some are very similar.
See more from this Division: ConditionThe concept should embrace economic, social and policy settings, as well as the biophysical. We need a wider-ranging concept that addresses these settings as well as recognizing the place of earlier concepts. Soil security attempts to fulfil these requirements.
