Abstract:
There are several sources of error in the carbon stock estimation, some of them are measurement error, allometric models errors, sampling error and maps error. Recently, Mexico has done several efforts to try to quantify this several sources of error to improve carbon stock estimations. By quantifying and propagating all this sources of error, Mexico will be able to identify main key categories and focus efforts to reduce the uncertainty of carbon stocks estimations and carbon stock emission of the forest sector in the near future.
