Plot Charges: Where Do They Begin and End.

Many research center's state support is flat or decreasing whereas expenses continue to rise. This has been largely made up through maximizing commodity sales which at times is in direct conflict with our number one focus of research. The next step is to institute plot charges to researchers to off-set expenses. Questions then arise over how much is charged, what does the fees cover and what they do not, new faculty, long term research, and how are they implemented. This preentation will cover what has been done at the University of Missouri over the past three years.
