222 Symposium--Cover Crops and Forage Utilization in Integrated Crop-Livestock Systems II
Oral Session
ASA Section: Agronomic Production SystemsA resurgence of integrating livestock and annual forages into traditional cropping systems is occurring in semi-arid regions. The reasons for this are varied, but include economic, soil, crop, and societal dynamics. In this symposium, speakers will discuss the advantages and challenges of combining grain, forages, and/or cover crops with livestock into integrated systems to improve resiliency of crop production
