165 Speciation and Bioavailability of Nutrients and Pollutants in the Rhizosphere Poster (includes student competition)
Poster Session
SSSA Division: Soil ChemistryRoot activities and related rhizosphere processes are known to modify soil environment around roots (rhizosphere) in terms of physical, chemical, biochemical, and biological properties and processes. Thus, rhizosphere processes have a significant control on the environmental fate of chemical elements in terrestrial ecosystems, such as element accumulation or depletion, transport processes such as mass flow and diffusion, and chemical solubility, speciation, and bioavailability of both nutrients and pollutants in the rhizosphere. This session is proposed to attract presentations from on the new research results available in this important research arena.
