155 Computer-Assisted Teaching and Learning: Applications in Soil Science: II (includes student poster competition)

Poster Session
SSSA Division: Soil Education and Outreach
Effectiveness of computer-assisted teaching in facilitating student learning has been demonstrated in several disciplines. It has been shown to provide equity in information delivery/reception, transmits to  a wider audience and facilitates sharing of courses or course modules. This session will discuss the role of multimedia instruction in soil science with respect to module(s) development, mode of course information delivery and approaches to assessment. Experts will provide case studies to demonstrate the impact of this approach on student learning outcomes compared to the traditional teaching of the subject.
