Animal agriculture and municipal wastewater treatment plants exert their influence on environmental microbial populations, both from a beneficial and detrimental effect. The aim of this session is to discern positive and negative aspects of land-applied solid wastes and wastewater on microbial pathogens, ecology, and antibiotic resistant populations.
