This symposium is to honor the career of Dr. Eugene J. Kamprath who died November 8, 2016. Dr. Kamprath did impactful soil research in the late 1950’s through the 1980’s in North Carolina, South America, and elsewhere. Especially notable was his early research in phosphorus availability, soil acidity and liming, and nitrogen use efficiency.
