257 Symposium--Celebrating the Impactful Career of Dr. E.J. Kamprath

This symposium is to honor the career of Dr. Eugene J. Kamprath who died November 8, 2016. Dr. Kamprath did impactful soil research in the late 1950’s through the 1980’s in North Carolina, South America, and elsewhere. Especially notable was his early research in phosphorus availability, soil acidity and liming, and nitrogen use efficiency. Dr. Kamprath was a great mentor to many students and a wonderful person as well.
