Can P Recycling Bring Balance Regional P Budgets?.

This presentation serves as the introduction to the ASA Nutrient Loss Assessment and Prevention symposium "Opportunities and Limitations of Phosphorus Removal and Reuse from Manures". We examine current regional nutrient budgets to identify areas in the U.S. with budget surpluses or deficits. We also highlight innovative manure management strategies for nutrient reuse and promising technologies for nutrient recovery to help bring regional P budgets into balance.
