Symposium--Opportunities and Limitations of Phosphorus Removal and Reuse From Manures

Oral Session

ASA Section: Environmental Quality

The objective of the symposium is to present state-of-the-art information on P removal and reuse from manures and stimulate discussion concerning alternative uses for manures, including their potential as alternative P sources for fertilizers. Presentations will include discussions about the opportunities for and limitations to P recovery, the influence of policy on P use in the US and Europe, future of the P supply, experiences with P recovery in Europe, and emerging P recovery technologies.
