Symposium--the Solar Corridor's Potential to Increase Solar Radiation Use Efficiency
Oral SessionASA Section: Agronomic Production Systems
The Solar Corridor Crop System enables all chloroplasts to have more uniform access to incident sunlight. Preliminary studies indicate a variety specific yield response. We intend to prepare at least one paper that, consistent with previous calls for peer review, presents results of a peer reviewed field test of the Solar Corridor protocol, while other papers will further address the solar corridor's potential to increase Solar Radiation Use Efficiency. This reflects the interests stated on the Solar Corridor Crop System web page and serves as the logical next step of building on the 2011 Foundation Symposium-- "The Solar Corridor Concept".
