Abstract:
Precision ag continues to evolve, presenting new opportunities to create value in crop production. With continuous innovation yielding new technologies, farmers are able to increase productivity and profitability. The evolution from GPS aided documentation, to auto-guidance, and recently a connected ecosystem, is creating new opportunities for further value creation. Deere is focused on being a leader helping farmers in the execution of each job, or pass, made across the field, to produce the crop. This includes a focus on understanding the desired outcomes from each job, increasing the precision of execution, and reducing variability. Solutions like high accuracy auto-guidance and quality of the job monitoring help farmers achieve their desired outcomes, reducing variability, lowering costs, and increasing crop yields. In addition, Deere seeks to enable agronomic input optimization by connecting farmers, at their discretion, to the advisors and service providers of their choice.
